Educator Assessment Development Participation Websites

The California Department of Education has launched two websites providing information for educators to participate in assessment development activities. The state testing contractor,Education Testing Services (ETS), in partnership with the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE), will convene and assist with a series of opportunities related to assessment development.

One website is for assessments of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASSP) and the other website is for English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC). Participants can go to each website and create accounts with information on which assessment and/or activity they would like to participate in. Application deadlines for each assessment activity are listed on each website.

  1. Get Involved with CAASPP: This website is currently for activities related to the California Alternate Assessments (CAAs), California Science Test (CAST), and California Spanish Assessment (CSA). These assessments are a part of our California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) assessment system.
  2. Get Involved with ELPAC:  This website is currently for various opportunities for educators to participate in activities for the ELPAC and Alternate ELPAC.  Activities include participating in the development of the new computer-based ELPAC and the new Alternate ELPAC.
