Joe Boyd is hanging up his saddle after more than 30 years as an advocate for public education. He was a student in LBUSD and taught here briefly before moving up to the bay area. In 2008, he came back to Long Beach and served as TALB’s Executive Director until 2014. Joe is my mentor and more importantly a friend. I owe a great amount of my success to the tutelage of Joe Boyd.
